This is the little Friction Drive that could: 20'
wheels, folding bike. It's so fun to pedal and drive. I think I can, I think I can, it will smoke roadies.
43 CC 2 Stroke; 16 grit plug wheel:
Bump start fun machine.
We use a cable activated hinge to lift
the motor. Close the choke a bit, pedal to get some speed ~ 7-8 mph; drop the motor,
then blap, snapple, crack and the motor is humming, open the choke and give it some throttle and she's purring like a Bobcat.:
Basket installed
This is what the roadies see when go go bye.
This Friction Drive is one of the first prototypes I put on my 700c single speed , it cruises at 30 mph, ~180 mpg. I run a 40:1
mix ratio gas to oil.
Double butted Chrome-moly steel frame, coaster brake. I added a front caliper brake after I installed the Friction drive.
